ISTE FOR COACHES- STANDARD TWO
Teaching, Learning and Assessments

Technology coaches assist teachers in using technology effectively for assessing student learning, differentiating instruction, and providing rigorous, relevant and engaging learning experiences for all students.
Every classroom has a diversity of learners, and each type of learner deserves the teacher's full focus and attention. It is tough to focus so when you have a group of students with different needs and learning styles. That is why it's essential to integrate technology in the classroom and use it to assess students' learning progress.
Using technology for student assessment helps the students do better than have a quiz on paper. Using technology makes students more confident, existed to learn more, and enjoying to process or learning and assessment. As we are in the 21st century assessing students shouldn't revolve around exams and rests. In my opinion, international exams such as the SAT or the bar exam must be delivered in a different way to align with all the diversity of students out there. For example, some students are great on paper who can remember and deliver well in the exam, and other students are more familiar with the knowledge. They understood the content but might do badly in exams. In my opinion, those exams must be set in different ways, such as being an interview so that students who have dyslexia or find difficulties expressing themselves in words can speak out there. Having such diversity in the assessment method will evaluate students more accurately, and students won't feel left out or underappreciated for their skills that the assessment method has not doesn't well evaluating.
Many students have got out of an exam and felt supper confident, but the result didn't reflect their abilities. Those students must not be at the bottom line because of a grade because those students most probably are well known for the knowledge content, but the way they expressed it in the exam was not the right way, so they had different ways to shine. So, let's not kill the ambition, hope, and skills of the new leaders of the future by inferior assessment methods.
