In my opinion, WhatsApp is an interactive social media technology that can be used in the classroom to turn it from a traditional to the more engaging environment. As a teacher, I fell WhatsApp will assist me to cover more material and help my students to be connected. In a blog post for WhatsApp on 1st February 2016, one billion people were using WhatsApp to share vital information with no boundaries to the distance. WhatsApp has made people life easier and their goals achievable. WhatsApp in a classroom is very beneficial to the learners as they get to use a social media they have been using in their daily life to learn something new and develop their skills. I believe this integration in education and classroom will help learners to grow and be aware of what is out there. Although I don't know what the future holds but am preparing and developing my learners to be ready to face any changes.

Do you think WhatsApp is a useful social media tool for teaching, learning, communication and collaboration in your educational environment?

I have created this video on a previous course in my master’s degrees which reflect why WhatsApp is a great social media tool to be used in a learning environment and its benefits.

This video demonstrates what first-year students should expect from their journey in the architectural world and how architecture is not only about designing it's about creating stories, music, and inspiration. This video will help people or learners who don’t have a background in architecture to have a better understanding of its concept. The learners who are studying architecture will find this video interesting and engaging. Plus, the ones who have experience in architecture will see this video as a true story.

This video is by Liz Ogbu from TEDx talk that really inspired me. As an architect-engineer doing master’s degree in instructional technology, I always get asked; why you shifted your career. Honestly, after watching this video, I couldn't have said it any better. So, if you want to know why I shifted my career and what I am hoping my architecture background will reflect and add to my education career. Watch the video!
