WhatsApp can be used for diverse of learners. As an educator, you can share information in anyway format as per your learners need. So, if you have visual learners you can make a group for them and share images, graphs and diagrams. Also, you can share youtube videos with your audio learners. As an educator when you ask learners to elaborate on a given topic they will have various ways to respond through WhatsApp either by texting, infographics, pictures, shared web links or youtube, voice or video recording.

Also, you can make more than one admin for a group where learners can invite their friends from different universities to join the discussion and share their own views. Also, as an educator, you can invite your co-educators or architects to participate. For example, if you are teaching fundamentals of architectural design principles to the first year, you can invite a graduate student to contribute in the discussion or senior architect that can advise from many years of experience in the field. In this way, your learners will get and share valuable information without leaving their place.

I have created this video on a previous course in my master’s degrees which reflect why WhatsApp is a great social media tool to be used in a learning environment and its benefits.

This video demonstrates what first-year students should expect from their journey in the architectural world and how architecture is not only about designing it's about creating stories, music, and inspiration. This video will help people or learners who don’t have a background in architecture to have a better understanding of its concept. The learners who are studying architecture will find this video interesting and engaging. Plus, the ones who have experience in architecture will see this video as a true story.

This video is by Liz Ogbu from TEDx talk that really inspired me. As an architect-engineer doing master’s degree in instructional technology, I always get asked; why you shifted your career. Honestly, after watching this video, I couldn't have said it any better. So, if you want to know why I shifted my career and what I am hoping my architecture background will reflect and add to my education career. Watch the video!
