3d.  Select, evaluate and facilitate the use of adaptive and assistive technologies to support student learning.

What:
I conducted a product review to identify accessible assistive technology to accommodate dyslexic learners. I have chosen dyslexic students because I believe they are left behind and seen as students who are lazy to develop their reading skills. Through the review, I have addressed the tool's features, strategies for implementation, training requirements for teachers, students, parents, and the tool's technical and compatibility requirements. I have used an evaluation rubric to evaluate the tool and choose the most efficient three to help students in their learning process.

So What:
Understanding the students' needs helps the teacher determine the adaptive and assistive technology used in the classroom to assist the student's needs. Needing extra help to go through the education system doesn't make the student lazy, stupid, or not hard working. I believe this mentality must change to identify the students with needs and help them through their struggles. Some students don't talk about the difficulties they face in the learning process because they are scared of being judged. So, I think it is our job to make sure that students with needs are identified and supported.

Now What:
Having a diversity of students is not the challenge; finding the precise technology that will support them is the challenge because not all students are the same even if they have the same need, the same technology may not suit all of them. So we must work very hard to find the ultimate assistive adaptive technology that will avoid depressing them and encourage them to study.
