Content Knowledge and Professional Growth

Technology coaches demonstrate professional knowledge, skills and dispositions in content, pedagogical and technological areas as well as adult learning and leadership and are continuously deepening their knowledge and expertise.
Keeping up with the new technologies that are out there that supports student learning can be a tough job to do, as every day, unique invitation and technologies are coming out every single day. As coaches, we should never be rusted and not updated because we are the ones who build up the knowledge of the teachers to teach the new generation. To keep up with all updates out there, we must use technology to keep us updated, such as social media. There are people whose job is to reflect on new tools and share their findings. We can follow those people to collaborate, communicate, and reflect on their studies. We coach our teachers to spread within the 21st-century learners the same concepts and strategies that we also must follow to grow and learn.
Being involved in professional development sessions to continue our learning process and deepen our knowledge is an essential aspect of a coach's professional growth. Being engaged in change helps in building the development of the community. On the other hand, the resisting change will cause learners' growth, which will set the community and global expansion to have a gap of where they must be ad where they are.
Pedagogy theory on the influence of learner's growth reflects on the classroom strategies to allow the student to learn, investigate, test, and explore. Students are the center of the learning process, not the teachers anymore. Finding the tools to implement after studying and analyzing each environment separately, deepening their needs, integrates the technology process of growth for both the teaching and learning approaches.
