4c. Evaluate results of professional learning programs to determine the effectiveness on deepening teacher content knowledge, improving teacher pedagogical skills and/or increasing student learning.

What:
I developed a plan to evaluate the results from the need analysis I have done on teachers to expand their knowledge content and pedagogical skills. I identified and justified the data collection methodology and the instruments that will be used. I determined the evaluation plan's objectives based on the determined needs, and I demonstrated how the needs are connected to the objectives. The intervention outcomes and benefits are presented in relation to the needs of the participants.

So What:
After determining the target group's needs, practical evaluation assists in choosing the precise professional development needed to help them fill their needs. The process of evaluating needs is as important as determining the needs. Both approaches are connected to the participant's progress in their professional environment. Neither steps can be crossed or missed because that will result in the wrong diagnosis of the participant's need, which may lead to having a professional development that non of the participant benefits from or use any of its strategies in their classroom.

Now What:
I believe the successful way to grow is always to determine your weakness (needs) and evaluate how they affect your performance in your daily practice and how you can solve the issue. This is how we grow professionally and personally. Realizing the value of evaluation helps the instructional coach enhance the chance of achieving the goals and objects set. Plus, the evaluation process improves the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process.
