1c. Advocate for policies, procedures, programs and funding strategies to support implementation of the shared vision represented in the school and district technology plans and guidelines.

What:
I created an advocacy plan and video to promote the STEAM program's use in the teaching and learning environment. I designed the project to assist educators, teachers, and management in understanding what outcomes they can expect from having STEAM in their classroom. I presented the strategies, tactics, resources, opponents, and STEAM targets to allow educators to understand why STEAM is vital in their classroom. The plan is meant to expedite the growth of the teaching and learning process toward STEAM.

So What:
Promoting STEAM and implementing it in our classroom gives students a better chance to be ready for the working field. STEAM builds students to be scientists, inventors, engineers, artists, and mathematicians. They build their collaboration, analysis, critical thinking and investigation, and imagination skills. Those are the skills need for community growth and to prepare students for the unknown. Of course, implementing STEAM doesn't have to be done by the traditional methods. It can be implemented by a technological tool that integrates technology with practice and literature easier and more interactive.

Now What:
STEAM is one of the future programs that leads to massive growth in students' personal and professional development. I would want to conduct an advocacy campaign to promote STEAM programs in the school. I want teachers to notice the difference in student's performance when implementing STEAM. I believe that STEAM now a day is not an optional approach; it's a must. Most schools have started implementing it, and some festivals take place where it showcases student inventions by using the STEAM approaches. 5
